What a nasty piece of work she is! Not a one off incident, but deliberate, childish persecution of a fellow elected representative for 5 months, damaging his possessions and making his life miserable. Now she's been caught red handed and thinks an apology is sufficient! She behaved like a 4 year old and should be treated as such; grounded and severely reprimanded. I don't understand why the legislature haven't expelled her and barred her from seeking office in the future. She didn't get control of herself and grow up, but continued her sick behaviour until she was caught. How can such a disturbed and cowardly person with poor judgement - apparently she had some grudge against him but not the courage to deal with a problem face to face - be considered suitable to represent her constituents?

Secret service has no right to approach anyone! You call for the local police and ID yourself with the dispatcher taking the call. The secret Service agents should both be cited. It's not a misunderstanding. The police need to make a police report and forward it to their supervisors is what any cop with common sense should have done. So, the agents could have been reprimanded.

Traffic was as much a site as the eclipse. I was reminded of going to Mac's party in norther Vermont when I was eighteen (I'm 68). I managed to get home to the middle of New Hampshire in about 2 hours from St. Johnsbury VT by leaving as soon as totality ended and staying off the interstate and cutting over to NH secondary roads as soon as possible. Seeing a total eclipse was definitely worth the traffic hassle. It would have been nice if idiots had not parked half on the road on both sides. The local police could have made a fortune for the towns by ticketing the hundreds of cars parked on the road and made it safer for non idiots to drive down the road.

The cop's biggest mistake was using profanity with the guy. He shouldn't have done that because it unnecessarily escalated the situation. Still, the guy did attack him and I didn't see any evidence of brutality.
